23. Gorango
Gorango means
shark in " Manadonese" dialect. We don't know why it
was named like that, but it seems that about 15 years ago a school
of whale sharks was spotted here. We have seen sharks at Gorango,
but no more than on other sites.
The wall is very well grown with hard and soft corals and is a
bit comparable with Muka Gereja. Snorkeling is nice too. Visiblity
varies from 35 to 15 metres and currents are mild. This wall is
long and actually the same story as "Bango". There is
much more to see and dive here than just one time.
